Conference Summary

Options for the Control of Influenza began as a small scientific symposium in Keystone, Colorado in 1985. Twenty-five years later, the Options conference has become the largest international conference devoted exclusively to all facets of influenza, from basic science to healthcare policy.

More than 1,400 Researchers from all corners of the globe convened in Hong Kong, SAR, China for Options for the Control of Influenza VII. While critical subjects such as healthcare policy, mathematical modeling and host genomics were covered, response to the 2009 pandemic and future pandemic preparedness took center stage at Options VII.
